Postgraduate Program and Senior Lecturer in the Departments of Basic Science, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Oral Pathology and Diagnosis at the Lebanese University School of Dentistry in Beirut, Lebanon, and Adjunct Research Fellow at the Charles Sturt University School of Dentistry in Sydney, Australia. He was formerly appointed Lecturer in Implant Dentistry with the Department of Restorative Dentistry (Implant Graduate Program) at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, in California, USA and Chairperson of Basic Science Department and Director of Oral Biology and Oral Pathology Postgraduate Programs at the Lebanese University School of Dentistry.

Between 1983 and 1988, graduated in dentistry at the Dental School of the Lebanese University. In 1990, he acquired Doctor in Dental Medicine from the Sorbonne Faculty University of Paris V. Post graduated in Oral Surgery from the University of Paris VI and in Periodontology from the Salpétrière Institute University of Paris VI as well as a Doctorate in Odontology from the Faculty of Dental Medicine of Reims, France 1994. In 2003, he became diplomat of the European Board of Oral Surgery. He acquired the High degree in research (HDR), Research Experience in Oral Sciences, Doctorate School of Science and Technology, Lebanese University, May 2013. He is Professor at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dental Faculty and Researcher in the Doctorate School of Science and Technology, Lebanese University.
He also lead many academic position, in the Lebanese University, such: head section of Oral Pathology (1994-1996), head section of Oral Surgery (1997-1999), director of postgraduate program of Oral Surgery (2001-2003), and Chairperson of the department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (2006-2013), Dental Faculty, Lebanese University.
Furthermore, beside his private practice in Lebanon, he is the Founder and president of the Lebanese Society of Oral Surgery. Member of the European Society of Oral Surgery, he published more than 60 scientific papers and over 150 lectures.
DR. ARZU DEMIRCIOGLU
Dr. Demircioglu currently participates in international congresses and seminars, publishes articles in various journals in the field and translates books. She is the board member of SENAME (South European North African Middle Eastern Implantology and Modern Dentistry Association) Dr Arzu Demircioglu graduated from the French High School, St Benoit Providence. In 1989, she completed her degree at the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Istanbul and received certificates for Compared Anatomy and Biochemistry. In 1990, she completed her Master’s Degree with Honourable Mention at the Implantology Department of Lille University in France, on Maxillo-Facial Surgery, with Professor Dr Manuel Chanavaz and Professor M. Donazzan. In 1993, Dr Demircioglu became an ICOI member and the same year she received her ICOI Fellowship. In 1994 she founded Nisantasi Implantology and Dentistry Centre. In 2004, she founded Dentakademia Education and Practice Centre where she personally gave vocational training on Implantology to over 1000 dentists.

Dr Demircioglu is a Diplomate of ICOI, an Active Member of Piezosurgery Academy – Academy for Advanced Surgical Studies, and member of the following organizations: SNIF (Symposium National Implantologiste Feminine), EDAD (Turkish Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry), TOID (Turkish Society of Oral Implantology) and visiting professor of Lebanese University School of Dentistry Oral Surgery Postgraduate Diploma.

- Implants placed in fresh extraction sites and healed sites were restored simultaneously by cross-arch provisional fixed prostheses. In conclusion, implants placed and restored immediately in a cross-arch mode, whether in extraction sites or in healed alveol, can be clinically successful and maintainable.
