  1. Enter a name for the grade set in the Name field.

  2. Enter any required notes in the Notes field. These are stored for information purposes only.

  3. Click the New button adjacent to the Version frame if you wish to define Start and End dates for this grade set.

    New button

  6. Enter the required grade in the Grade cell, e.g. B.

  7. Press Tab and enter any required description (maximum 40 characters) in the Description cell, e.g. Satisfactory.

  8. Press Tab and enter a numeric value for the grade in the Value cell, if required, e.g. 80.

  9. Repeat steps 6 - 9 for each grade you wish to add.

  10. You can enter the grade rows in any order, but you must then use the Up and Down arrows to adjust the sequence of grade values to descending order before saving. i.e. the grade with the highest numerical value must be displayed at the top of the grid, then the grade with the second highest numerical value and so on. A grade with no value assigned should be displayed last, directly after the grade with the lowest value.

  1. Click the Save button to save the grade set.

Save button

Before the grade set is saved in the database, it is checked for any invalid Version or grade and will not save if such a value is found. If the grade set does not save, an explanatory error message is displayed at the bottom of the screen.
