Printing Pupil/Student Individual Reports


  1. Follow the steps described in Generating and Printing Pupil/Student Individual Reports, in order to populate the Generate Individual Report dialog with the required pupil/students.

  2. Highlight the pupil/students whose reports you wish to print (you may select all pupil/students if required) and then click the Print Item button.

    1. Generating and Viewing Reports


For installations that have a version of Microsoft Office earlier than 2003, a Word Viewer is available for generating and viewing reports (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=95E24C87-8732-48D5-8689-AB826E7B8FDF&displaylang=en).

NOTE: The Word Viewer will not generate graphs in individual reports.
    1. Exporting Pupil/Student Individual Reports


You can export selected Individual Reports to a chosen physical location, e.g. hard drive, floppy, etc. and also to the Document Manager Server (DMS).

NOTE: When exporting pupil/student Individual Reports to local disks, make sure that adequate data protection safeguards are in place.

  1. Follow the steps described in Generating and Printing Pupil/Student Individual Reports, in order to populate the Generate Individual Report dialog with the required pupil/students.

  2. Highlight the pupil/students whose reports you wish to export (you may select all pupil/students if required) and then click the Export button.

A message dialog advises you that Individual Reports with the same name is overwritten.

  1. Click the Yes button to continue with the export and display the Browse for Folder dialog.



  1. If the folder into which you wish to export the Individual Report(s) is not highlighted by default, navigate within the Browse for Folder dialog and select the required drive and folder.

  2. Alternatively, you can create a new folder into which to export the Individual Reports. Navigate to the drive and folder into which you wish to create the new folder and click the Make New Folder button to display the New Folder box.

  3. Enter a name for the new folder and press Enter to return to the Browse for Folder dialog, where the new folder is highlighted.

  4. Click the OK button and a message dialog will advise when the export of the generated Individual Report(s) to the selected folder is complete.

  5. Click the Close button to return to the Generate Individual Report dialog.
      1. Exporting Individual Reports to the Document Manager Server (DMS)


Before starting the export please ensure that the DMS is configured and that it is currently on.

  1. Select Tools | Setups | Document Manager Server and then click the Test Server Connection button.

A confirming message is displayed if the DMS is configured and available.

NOTE: Once a student’s Individual Report has been exported to DMS it is available for viewing through the Focus | Student | Student Details | Links | Linked Documents menu route, in SIMS.

  1. Follow the steps described in Generating and Printing Pupil/Student Individual Reports, in order to populate the Generate Individual Report dialog with the required pupil/students.

  2. Highlight the pupil/students whose reports you wish to export (you may select all pupil/students if required) and then click the Upload button.

  3. A message dialog will advise you that Individual Reports with the same name is overwritten. Click the Yes button to continue with the export.

A message dialog will advise when the export to the DMS is complete.
