Ruth 2:4-17

Titus 2:11 – “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men.”

  1. His Considering Work – vs.4-7

Ruth 2:4 – “And, behold, Boaz, came from Bethlehem, and said to the reapers, The Lord be with you. And they answered him the Lord bless thee.”

Proverbs 15:3 – "The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good."

  • Jesus knows everything about us and He still loves us and desires to be with us

  1. His Commanding Work – vs.8-9

  1. Words Concerning Ruth's Steadfastness

I Corinthians 4:2 – "Moreover it is required in stewards that a man be found faithful."

  1. Words Concerning Ruth's Safety

  • We can trust the Lord to take care of us!

Matthew 16:18 – "I will build my church; and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it."

Romans 8:28 – “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them that are called according to His purpose."

II Corinthians 4:17 – "For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory."

  1. Words Concerning Ruth's Supply

Psalms 23:1 – "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want."

  1. His Comforting Work – vs.10-14

  1. Notice Her Amazement – v.10

Ruth 2:10 – "Then she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said unto him, why have I found grace in thine eyes?"

  • There are times when God's grace is overwhelming!

  1. Notice His Announcement – vs.11,12

Hebrews 6:10 – "For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love."

  1. Notice Her Appeal – v.13

  • The goal of every child of God is to please God

  1. Notice His Acceptance – v.14

  1. Boaz sat with her

  2. Boaz supped with her

  3. Boaz sufficed her

  1. His Concealing Work – vs.15-17

  1. A Work of Providence – He made some decisions that affected her life

  2. A Work of Provision – Boaz told his servants to leave "handfuls on purpose" for Ruth

  3. A Work of Plenty – When Ruth left that day she had more than enough

All of our needs are met in God's field of grace
