After his death in 1993, she continued her involvement with the Carnegie-Collier Rotary Club as an honorary member. She later joined Three Rivers Rotary Club while working downtown. When her company moved to Robinson Township, she returned to the Carnegie-Collier Club as an active member.

Since becoming involved with Rotary, she has served on nearly every District Conference Committee … an activity she enjoyed tremendously over the last thirty years. She was also Co-Chair of the District Conference Committee for District Governor Cindy Sakala for the 2010-2011 Rotary year. She has also served on the Youth Exchange Committee, the Youth Leadership Conference Committee, both as Co-Chair and Chair, the Kennywood Committee, the Awards Committee and the Foundation Dinner Committee, serving several times as Chair. She was also District Secretary for PDG Kathy Crawford, where she sat in on many other committees, including the Finance Committee. She was President of the Carnegie-Collier Rotary Club during the 2007-2008 year, and Assistant District Governor to PDG Jim Kunkelmann in 2008-2009 and PDG Rick Martin in 2009-2010. She also served as Interact Secretary for our District 7300 for the past several years.
Sue is a Paul Harris Fellow Plus 2 and a member of the Bequest Society. She served on the Carnegie-Collier Board of Directors and was named the Carnegie Rotary Club Honorary Rotarian of the Year in 1997. Mostly recently, she received the Samuel S. and George K. Haudenshield Rotarian of the Year Award for 2010-2011.
She currently resides in Scott Township, where she is active in Meals on Wheels, Relay for Life. She is an Elder in the Covenant Community Presbyterian Church, and has also served as President of the Deacons.
Sue retired in 2009, and is enjoying the freedom to pursue her total commitment to Rotary as the incoming District Governor 2011-2012.
