Second Grade Concert

Wednesday April 22 6pm

The Queen of Hearts

The queen of hearts, she made some tarts all on a summer’s day

The knave of hearts, he stole the tarts and took them clean away
Where are the tarts? Not in my house
The queen of hearts, she made some tarts all on a summer’s day

The knave of hearts, he stole the tarts and took them clean away

Did you steal my tarts? It wasn’t me!
The queen of hearts, she made some tarts all on a summer’s day

The knave of hearts, he stole the tarts and took them clean away

Jack and Jill

Jack Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water

Jack fell down and broke his crown and Jill came tumbling after
Jack went up, Jack fell down. Poor old Jack, he broke his crown

Jill went up, Jill fell down. She tumbled back to town

Up Jack got and home did trot as fast as he could caper

Went to bed to mend his head with vinegar and brown paper

Jack went up, Jack fell down. Poor old Jack, he broke his crown

Jill went up, Jill fell down. She tumbled back to town

Jill came in and she did grin to see his paper plaster

Mother, vexed, did scold her next for causing Jack's disaster

Old King Cole

Old King Cole was a merry old soul, And a merry old soul was he;

He called for his pipe, and he called for his bowl,

And he called for his fiddlers three.

Every fiddler had a fine fiddle, and a very fine fiddle had he;

Tweedle dee, tweedle dee went the fiddlers three

And so merry we will be
Little Jack Horner

Little Jack Horner sat in a corner, eating his Christmas pie,

He put in his thumb and pulled out a plum and said,

"What a good boy am I!"

Simple Simon met a pie-man, going to the fair,

Says Simple Simon to the pie-man, "Let me taste your ware."

Little Bo Peep

Little Bo Peep has lost her sheep and can't tell where to find them

Leave them alone, and they'll come home,

wagging their tails behind them.

Little Bo Peep fell fast asleep and dreamt she heard them bleating

When she awoke, she found it a joke

For they were still a fleeting
Then up she took her little crook, determined for to find them

What was her joy to see them there,

Wagging their tails behind them.
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are

Up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky

Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are

When the blazing sun is gone, when he nothing shines upon

Then you show your little light, twinkle twinkle all the night

Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are
Then the traveller in the dark, thanks you for your tiny spark.

He could not see where to go, if you did not twinkle so

Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are
