Creating OMR Sheets
An OMR sheet is a combination of an OMR template and a pupil/student group. To produce one or more OMR sheets you can combine any number of pupil/student groups with the same OMR template. If the number of pupil/students in a group exceeds the rows available on the OMR Sheet, then additional OMR Sheets are created. Each OMR sheet created is given a unique Sheet Number that is printed in the top left-hand of the sheet and is marked either in the sheet number lozenges or as a barcode.
Select Focus | Assessment | OMR Templates to display the OMR Template browser.
Enter search parameters and click the Search button, or press Enter without entering any search parameters to display saved OMR templates. Select the required OMR template and click the Open button.
Click the OMR Sheetshyperlink to view the OMR Sheets panel.
Click the Newbutton to display the Group browser.
The Select the effective Group date enables the membership of a pupil/student group upon a particular date to be displayed.
The From and To dates default to the current academic year and if this is the group membership date you wish to apply you can proceed to select the required group(s) by clicking the + or – symbols to expand and contract the list, and then select the check box adjacent to each required group.
If you need to change these dates, e.g. you want to include or exclude pupil/student groups based on membership dates, enter them in dd/mm/yyyy format or click the down arrows, select the new date from the calendar and then click the Refresh button.
This will refresh the display of groups, reflecting their membership on the chosen date. You can now proceed to select the required group(s) in the same way as explained above.
NOTE: It is not possible to create OMR sheets for two groups with the same name. For example, if you have used the Effective Group Membership Date to create OMR Sheets for a previous Curriculum Year 7, you cannot create OMR Sheets for the current Curriculum Year 7, until you delete the previous Curriculum Year 7 sheets. Click the Apply button to generate OMR Sheets for the chosen group(s). An OMR Sheet is created for each Supervisor of each chosen group.
NOTE: Where the number of pupil/students in a group exceeds the number of rows on a sheet (i.e. 40), multiple sheets is created. Click the Savebutton on the Focus Bar.
