Risk Assessment:

A CAMBRA Risk Assessment was completed and the patient presents with the following risk factors: (italics= high risk)

  • Xerostomia-causing medications

  • Poor oral hygiene

  • Diet high in fermentable carbohydrates

  • Gingival Recession

  • Clinical caries

  • Incipient caries/ demineralization

  • White spot lesions

  • Extensive restorative history

  • Fixed Partial Dentures (bridges)

  • Removable Partial Dentures


Diagnostic Aids:

  • Disclosing gel

    • Disclosing gel was applied to the patient’s teeth and the distribution of bacteria was evaluated:
