WORK EXPERIENCE: (1.) House Officer at Abia State University Teaching Hospital. April 2006 to March 2007.
Paid attention to minutest of details in discharging duties assigned by seniors. Helped make our team gain the confidence of the patients by acting as a link-man. Ensured requested laboratory investigations were done and results retrieved before next consultants’ ward round. AWARDED BEST HOUSE OFFICER OF THE YEAR.
Performed a total of sixty-nine surgeries in a space of eleven months. Our commitment led to increase in patient strength from an average of three to about twenty to thirty per day. Represented the hospital during community events. So much improved the financial standing of the hospital.
(3.) Chief Medical Officer at Berma Specialist Hospital Aba, Abia State. October 2008 to September 2009.
Introduced programs for staff development. Liased with the administrative and healthcare staff to provide prompt and efficient services to the hospital. Prepared and updated records of all activities of the hospital.
(4.) Junior Resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Federal Medical Centre Umuahia, Abia state. October 2009 to October 2014.
Trained in evidence-based medicine. Trained in and practised Postabortion Care. Performed Caesarean section, hysterotomy, laparotomy for ectopic pregnancy, subtotal hysterectomy, bilateral tubal ligation, uterine repair cases, amongst others. Proficient in the management of labor. Presently a Part One candidate of the West African College of Surgeons.
