OTHER THINGS UNDER CONSIDERATION:

There are many options for mission right here in Reading. We are dedicated to bringing them to your attention and helping this congregation become actively engaged in working as disciples of Jesus.

We want more ways in which we can: Feed the hungry,

House the homeless,

Encourage those with little hope,

Take care of this planet and the creatures on it, work to fight for justice and peace.

For you, what will that mean? Will it be work at a soup kitchen, at the animal shelter, registering voters, helping school children or delivering meals? Will it mean helping a homeless family, gathering supplies for new mothers, or building a house? Maybe it means working with your hands, or driving someone in your car, praying with someone, or just being a good listener. With that in mind, this committee plans on a Mission Expo this fall, where we will have displays and information that will help us find our unique ways to give to our community.
This congregation is caring, generous and energized.

Let’s continue to ask ourselves, What can we offer, and how? What is our Dream for Community UCC? Won’t it be amazing to see what we can do?

We welcome your ideas and suggestions.
