Schedule for the Sacraments to be celebrated at St. Bernard’s:

St. Bernard’s CWL Community Life Committee has made available yarn for those wishing to knit mitts, etc. for the Christmas Boxes 2012.  Yarn can be picked up during regular business hours at the Rectory.

Catechetical Coordinator Position

As previously announced in past bulletins, our catechetical coordinator is retiring in June. Anyone wishing to express interest in this position may contact our parish office.


Family Pancake Breakfast: Sun., Apr.  22nd at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Pt. du Chene-- 8 AM-1 PM.  Pancakes, Scrambled Eggs, Pan Fries, Baked Beans, Sausage, French Toast, Fruit & Muffins & beverage. Adults $ 6.00 & children (12 & under) $3.00.   All proceeds to support the charitable work of the Knights of Columbus Co. 8431.




St. Lawrence O’Toole Church will hold a SPRING TEA in the Church basement on Saturday, May 12th from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m.  Advance tickets are $10.00 with proceeds towards church maintenance.  Contact Claudia at 383-9027 for your ticket!

CWL INFORMATION
Tues., April 24th @ 6:30 PM -- Feast of our Lady of Good Counsel.   Mass at 6:30 PM followed by dinner at the Hum-Lew Sun Lion’s Club.  Cost $15.00, (includes gratuity).  Those planning to attend this year’s dinner must register and pay in advance.  Monies can be paid to Jessie Kinney by placing a white envelope to her attention in the collection basket during weekend Masses or by contacting Jessie through the rectory.  Please register by April 16th  in order for Jessie to provide numbers to the Lion’s club.

Registration @ 8:15 am, followed by Mass at 9:00 a.m. Registration Fee of $6.00 will be paid by our Council for any members wishing to attend this year’s Convention. Lunch Fee $9.00/person, payable by the member. Please call Donna Shaw at 382-0503 by April 20th to register.

June 8th, 9th, and 10thProvincial Council Convention – Hosted by the Moncton Diocese. Details will be provided at the May meeting.

We Believe ... What? Rediscovering the Creed

The Creed series with Andrew Wilson, Claudette Derdaele and Ellen Bennett continues at Holy Family Church Hall from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.:

April 26th - Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth
Two sessions of catechist formation, facilitated by Ellen Bennett, will be offered at Our Lady of Hope Pastoral Unit on April 29th and May 27th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30. These sessions will take place at Immaculate Conception Church Hall in Rexton.

Wells for Haïti: We will be hosting a Turkey Bouilon (Fricot) lunch at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Grand-Barachois (route 133) on April 29 from 11 am to 1 pm. All proceeds will help to dig wells in order to provide good drinking water for the people of Haïti. Plus the complete meal $ (7), there will be a 50/50 draw, a raffle, a silent auction and an indoor plant sale. For more info. & to reserve your ticket, call 577-6195, 961-3472, 854-4981 or 858-9736.

Young Adults - Rendezvous for Dinner @ Cafe Archibald (216 Gauvin Rd., Dieppe) on Tues., April 17th @ 7:00 PM. ST.BERNARD'S CATHOLIC WOMEN'S LEAGUE is offering a $500 Bursary to a student graduating from High School in June 2012 who is a parishioner and is pursuing post-secondary studies.  Please submit a letter of application by June 1st, 2012 including your future plans to: St. Bernard's Catholic Women's League Bursary Selection Committee, Parish Office, 43 Botsford St., Moncton, NB, E1C 4W9.

St. Vincent de Paul Society will hold a SPRING FUND RAISER on Saturday, May 5th from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at 113 Norwood Avenue (basement of St. Augustine's Villa, (Side Door).  Your support will help the needy of our community.   Something for everyone with a large selection of Flea Market items as well as Good Quality Used Clothing. St. Augustine's Catholic Women's League will also be there with the sale of SWEETS AND TREATS.
