Reproductive System Project
You will choose either a disease OR a disorder of the reproductive system from the class list. Only one person in the class can choose an individual disease or disorder (no duplications). BEFORE YOU MAKE YOUR CHOICE, please review the requirements for each below. Grading rubrics for each are provided.
Reproductive System Disease:

You will research the risk factors, prevention, treatment options, and signs and symptoms of the disease, and present them in the form of a Public Service Announcement (PSA). Many examples of Public Service Announcements can be found on the internet (youtube anyone?), but think ZeroMeth campaign, or the crash dummies “commercials” for wearing seatbelts. Public Service Announcements, like all good commercials, present their information in about 30-40 seconds.

You may use any of the Windows MovieMaker, iMovie, or www.animoto.com formats, or any others you are familiar with, but I need to be able to run it on a PC in class.

Reproductive System Disorder:

You will research the signs and symptoms, causes, problems associated with, and treatments for the disorder, and present them in the form of a bi-fold or tri-fold “patient” brochure. All brochures should be computer-generated, not handmade, with color graphics.

You have all seen these informational brochures in doctor’s offices, health clinics, or pharmacies. You may also find examples on the internet. Just type “disease brochure example” in Google.

Now that you know what your assignment specifics are, you may choose your disease or disorder from the class list. Follow the grading rubric for your choice to maximize your points. These projects will be presented to the entire class.
