Adopted during the Korean War Era and worn until replaced by the Baseball Style Cap (#3292) in the Early 1960s. Ridgeways were PX Items, Never Issued!

Peaked “goofy” looking Baseball cap adopted in the Early-1960's for wear with Fatigues. Issued to the Army and USAF for Hot-Weather wear.

All of the #3298 were made by the ACE MFG. CO., INC. of San Antonio, Texas.

I believe these were ISSUE caps ( see 3298F below )
Similar design as #3296 but sweatband is made of a Brown Leathette material.





A. 7 (someone wrote “1/8” after the 7 -- but this is not a 7 1/8 size), no date, Certificate NO. 9-2031-C, not sure of the exact vintage but has the sturdy white label of the 1970s, USAF subdued Blue Colonel’s Eagle sewn on front, minor wear, EC+
