I understand that the Army used Olive Drab Wool Berets on a limited basis in the 1960s(?). I have never seen this in a document but I have sold them to buyer’s who know about them and forked over good-money(?). Go with the Flow!

ARVN Camo Beret, no label, 7 3/8 – 7 ½, lined with Spot-pattern Parachute Camo material, Black-trace parachute cord for adjuster, has metal Dai-uy (Captain) Rank and a Brass badge with “VIET-NAM CONG-HOA QUAN-THUE” in red letters (one-post on badge repaired), red dirt stains inside from the dust and sweat, I have been told the badge translates to something like “RVN Customs/Revenue”, overall in Excellent Condition.

5720 U. S. Army BERETS




Rust (“Dark Orange”) Color Berets are from the 7th Infantry Division Peacekeepers who were Deployed in the Sinai Desert with the Multinational Force and Observers(MFO). The MFO operations began circa 1982 with one U.S. Infantry Battalion from active duty Units. In 2002 the U.S. Battalion has been furnished by the National Guard.
