Sedation Dentistry (IV and Non IV Conscious Sedation)

NO FEAR HERE

Millions of Americans have anxiety about going to the dentist, and many of them don’t get their dental needs taken care of as a result. Imagine going to the dentist without apprehension and anxiety anymore. At Comfort Dental Implant Institute, we understand the importance of feeling comfortable when going to the dentist. With the new aid of either oral or IV medication, we will provide a pleasant and comfortable dental visit, so you can get the dental work you need without fear.

Non-IV Conscious Sedation

For patients that are scared to go to the dentist we use a combination of medications that will help you fall into a deep state of relaxation (twilight zone) and experience virtually no discomfort during treatment. Although you will be very drowsy, you will be conscious and you will be able to communicate with our staff during the procedure. Your vital signs are monitored during the sedation to ensure everything is running with ease. After the dental procedure most patients have little or no memory of the appointment day.

IV Conscious Sedation

Patients undergoing a more complex dental procedure, or who have severe dental anxiety, are typically put under IV Conscious Sedation. A combination of medications will be administered intravenously. In just minutes you will fall into a deep state of relaxation (twilight zone) and experience virtually no discomfort during treatment. Although you will be very drowsy, you will be conscious and breathing on your own and you will be able to communicate with our staff during the procedure. Your vital signs and cardiac rhythm are monitored during the sedation to ensure everything is running with ease. After the dental procedure most patients have no memory of the appointment day.
