  1. Articles prohibited as imports:

1 Arms (93.01-93.05, 93.07), ammunition (93.06) and explosives (36.01-36.04), of all kinds.

  1. Coins (71.18), banknotes, currency notes, securities of any kind payable to bearer, travellers' cheques, counterfeit currencies and counterfeit negotiable securities (49.07).

  2. Printed matter (49.01, 49.02, 49.11), films (37.04, 37.05), photographs (4911.91), gramophone records, cinematographic films (37.06), loaded recording tapes and videotapes, compact discs (video and audio) (85.23), storage medium for the computer and other articles which are detrimental to the political, economic, cultural and moral interests of the People's Republic of China.

  3. Deadly poisons of all kinds.

  4. Opium (1302.11), morphine, heroin (2339.11), marijuana (1211.90) and other addiction-inducing drugs and psychedelic substances.

  5. Animals, plants and products thereof infected with or carrying disease germs, insect pests and other harmful organisms.

  6. Foodstuff, medicines and other articles coming from epidemic-stricken areas and harmful to man and livestock or those capable of spreading diseases.

  7. Platinum (71.10), gold (71.08) and silver (71.06), whether manufactured or not, precious stones (71.02, 71.03, 71.04), jewels or other valuable articles.
