Gram-negative bacteria: fermentative rods (Enterobacteriaceae: Salmonella, Shigella, Escherichia coli, Proteus, Klebsiella), nonfermentative rods (Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter baumannii, S. maltophilia ) and obligatory anaerobes (Prevotella, Porphyromonas, Bacteroides, Fusobacterium).

Determination of β-laktamase-positive strains (cefinase test).
Demonstration of resistance phenotypes: ESBL, MBL, MRS, MLS B, VRE, GRE, HLAR

Reading of the susceptibility tests

Laboratory diagnosis of oral infections. Inoculation and staining of the specimens:
1. swab from the abscess (tooth implantation)
2. swab from the throat (atrophic inflammation of the oral mucosa)
3. blood – (endocarditis)
4. pus (from the ffacial-neck fistula)
