Preventing Users from Overwriting Formula Outcomes

By default, Data Entry formula columns are editable, enabling a user to overtype a calculated result before saving. To prevent this, select the Read-only check box in the Create Template Columns wizard.
      1. Hiding Data Review Formula Columns

There may be occasions when you want to hide a particular Data Review formula column. This is likely to be required if you are using the outcome of that column as part of another formula or calculation.

  1. In the Create Template Columns wizard, select the Add a Column for Data Review using Formula radio button and click the Next button.

  1. Enter a Heading for the column and select a Formula Type from the drop-down menu.

  2. Select the Hidden check box.

Alternatively, if the formula column has already been created, you can click the column name then click the Open button to display the Column Properties dialog. Select the Hidden check box.
