Gustav O. kruger lifetime achievement in dentistry award The (Gustav O. Kruger) Lifetime Achievement Award in Dentistry is conferred upon an alumna/us or faculty member of the Georgetown University School of Dentistry who has rendered outstanding and exemplary community or professional service in support of the profession of dentistry. Awardees will have demonstrated significant contributions to humanitarian outreach and/ or held leadership positions in research, education, dental practice, or organized dentistry.
This award is named for Gustav O. Kruger, D.D.S. (D’39), who served as the chair of the Oral andMaxillofacial Surgery Division and director of the Hospital Dental Service from 1948 to 1982. He was a world-renowned lecturer, author, and leader of organized dentistry. His commitment to dental education and teaching are unsurpassed.
