February travel talks

This month there are two travel talks. To begin, on Wednesday, February 10th at 7:30 pm Serge Laplante and Nathalie Souchet present their trip to Costa Rica. On Wednesday, February 24th at 7:30 pm, Carole Cormier et Louis Beaulieu speak about their trip to the Yukon and Alaska. The travel talks continue every second Wednesday until March 23rd. A neat way to travel around the world! Most travel talks are in French or bilingual. Welcome to all. Voluntary contribution.


Monthly Breakfast

On Sunday February 21 from 8 until 10:30 am, we will be having our monthly breakfast, traditional menu. Voluntary contribution of $7 for adults (12 & over) and $4 for children (5-11 years) would be appreciated. Everyone is welcome


Happy Hour at the Community Center

On Friday February 26th starting at 5 pm, come alone or with friends and family, bring your refreshments and a dish to share. A voluntary contribution of 3$ per family would be appreciated. All children must be supervised by a parent.


Collective kitchen, let’s cook fish cakes together!

You are invited to cook fish cakes with us at the Douglas community centers’ collective kitchen on Tuesday February 23rd from 9 to 11h30. We will prepare and cook fish cakes together. For a 6$ contribution, you leave with 6 fish cakes. Please let us know by Friday February 19th, if you plan on joining us so we can do the groceries accordingly. Please call 418-368-0288 or leave a voicemail message.


Zumba!!! Zumba!!! Zumba!!!

From February 9th to March 10th, ZumbaThalie will offer Zumba classes on Tuesday and Thursday from 7 to 8 pm in the Douglas Community Center basement. 6$ for adultes.12 years and under 3$.

Winter Fun Day at the Rink

On Saturday February 27th from 11 am-3 pm, join us for skating, snowshoeing and ice bowling! Music, campfire, hot dogs, juice, other little treats and of course, let’s not forget…some yummy hot chocolate. Come join us for some winter fun! The schedule is posted on the door at the rink.
