Condyle - a rounded projection on a bone, usually for articulation with another bone

epicondyle – a projection from a long bone near the articular extremity above or upon the condyle

Facet – a small smooth cartilage area on a bone or other firm structure, usually an articular surface covered in life with articular cartilage

Foramen - a natural opening or passage, especially one into or through a bone.

Fossa - a trench or channel; in anatomy, a hollow or depressed area.

Lamina - a thin, flat plate or stratum of a composite structure; called also layer

Meatus - an opening or passage, especially one leading to the body surface

Ramus - 1. Synonym(s): branch 2. One of the primary divisions of a nerve or blood vessel. Arterial and nerve branches are also given under the major nerve or artery. 3. A part of an irregularly shaped bone (less slender than a "process") that forms an angle with the main body (for example, ramus of mandible). 4. One of the primary divisions of a cerebral sulcus.

Suture - 1. A form of fibrous joint in which two bones are united by a fibrous membrane continuous with the periosteum. Synonym(s): sutura, suture joint 2. To unite two surfaces by sewing (in the case of bones sewed together by fibrous material)

Trochanter - a broad, flat process on the femur, at the upper end of its lateral surface (greater trochanter), or a short conical process on the posterior border of the base of its neck (lesser trochanter)

Tubercle - a nodule or small eminence, especially one on a bone, for attachment of a tendon; see also tuber and tuberosity. Called also tuberculum

Tuberosity - an elevation or protuberance, especially one on a bone where a muscle is attached; see also tuber and tubercle.
