Bishop’s Notes for Tenebrae

  1. Will Bishop wear choir dress or alb/stole/cope?

MC Notes

  1. 2007 Suggestion – Promotion of Tenebrae to neighboring parishes, testimonials in newspaper and on air.

  1. 2007 Suggestion – Maybe a little slower tempo to the liturgy.

  1. 2007 Suggestion – No need of flashlightbearer at ambo, but just a flashlight left there if needed. Flashlightbearer can be ready to help, but not right at ambo (maybe at a chair off to the side).

  1. 2008 Suggestion – No kneelers (Bishop Morlino didn’t use them during the Examination of Conscience).

  1. 2008 Suggestion – Make sure side light is off in alcove of rear side door of St. Patrick’s.

  1. 2008 Suggestion – Had good tempo of about 1 hour. Keep pauses and bows in the service.

  1. 2010 – Patrick Gorman wants seminarians to just do the readings (i.e., the responsories will be chanted by the choir).
