On behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, BHU, sealed item rate tenders from manufactures (or their authorised dealers by submitting letters/certificates, in original, from the manufacturers that they have been authorized to quote in response to this NIT) of the following items are invited:

The Tender Documents for above items will be on two-Bid System consisting of Technical Bid and Price Bid. The Tender Documents will be submitted item-wise in two separate sealed covers clearly mentioning on the envelope the details of items for which bid is submitted. Any firm may bid for any number of items against the purchase of Tender Document but each offer must be item-wise in two bid cover enclosing item-wise EMD with Technical Bid.

The Tender Document (non-Transferable) along with detailed specifications, terms and conditions may be purchased by the interested supplier on submission of a written application to the undersigned along with payment of non-refundable Tender price as mentioned below. The Tender price may be paid in the form of Bank Draft in favour of Registrar, Banaras Hindu University payable at Varanasi. The Tender document can be collected during office Hrs. (from 10.30 am to 5.00 pm) on all working days (Monday to Saturday) either in person or by post from the office of the undersigned. The postal Charges of Rs. 100/- (Rupees Hundred only) will be charged extra if required to be sent by post.

The tender should be addressed to the undersigned, and should be delivered in person or sent by Registered post so as to reach the University on/before 26.8.06 upto 5.00 PM No tender will be accepted after the due date and time.

All Tender Documents must be accompanied by the Bid Security Form/Earnest Money Deposit (Refundable). The Earnest Money Deposit is to be paid in the form of Bank Draft in favour of the Registrar, Banaras Hindu University payable at Varanasi. The bid security Form/Earnest Money Deposit Bank Draft must be enclosed with Technical Bid. The details of Bank Draft Number of Earnest Money Deposit must be endorsed on top of envelop containing Technical Bid (EMD must be submitted separately for each item).

The University shall not be responsible for any delay in receiving Bids/sending of Tender Document by post.

The University reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, without assigning any reason thereof. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained.

Earnest Money shall be forfeited in case it is found at any stage that information/particulars regarding supply of tendered item(s) is false.

Complete Craniospinal Neuro-Navigation Set




  • Linus based system working on O2 computer work station.

  • Complete cranial & spinal system with all instrumentations.

  • The navigation system should have point as well as surface registration with accuracy prediction system.

  • The navigation system must have dynamic referencing so that registration is not lost even if camera or the patient moves.

  • Should have facility for marker less legistration.

  • Should have user friendly application software.

  • The system should have facility of keeping optical camera and viewing system together or separately to allow optimal use of O.T. Space.

  • System must have ultrasound based intraoperative imaging software system for brain shift compensation, tumor delineation and resection.

  • The ultrasound navigation software should be able to correlate with pre operative MR/CT images. These images should have view side by side or overlaid.

  • It should have hybrid tracking system with active and passive instrument.

  • It should have universal instrument adapter tracking system with active and passive option.

  • The system should have image guided spinal instrument like short drill guide, Awl/Proble/Tap system with straight or T-handles option.

  • It should have touch screen to be used by surgeon in sterile field.

  • The system should include a frameless biopsy system with needles.

  • The system should have wireless planar passive instruments and markers.

  • The system syhould interface with all major microscope systems.

  • The Microscope interface should be such that the navigation system can track microscope's focal plane, focal point and trajectory plan.

  • The Microscope interface should give heads up display.

  • The navigation system should have hardware and software for stereotactic surgery including functional stereotactic procedures. The software should re-orient the scan images along the AC-PC plane. The stereotactic system should be adaptable to all major frames.

  • Navigation system should have Talairach-Tournoux Grid and Deformable Schaltenbrand Wahren Atlas.

  • System should have X/Y stage and micro driver to be mounted on stereotactic frame for tracking of any micro electrode.

  • The system should have 3D graphics capability and software to merge CT & MRI images.

  • Look ahead view capability to show the images at 1 mm to 20 mm (increments of 1 mm) in front of the probe.

  • System should have facility of virtual fluoroscopic navigation for spinal applications compatible with 9" or 12" C-Arm.

Complete Neuronavigation Compatible Multivision

Operating Microscope.


The system should be perfectly meets all the requirements of modern neurosurgery and spinal surgery while offering a range of functions previously unknown to surgical microscopes. In particular, it should be optimized for integration not only into the OR workflow, but also into the entire hospital workflow. The design and performance should be based on the latest pioneering technologies.

  • compact microscope and stand design with completely integrated cables and integrated light guide.

  • Adjustable, ergonomic handgrips, symmetrical and attached clearly above the bottom edge of the microscope, multifunctional key assignment with freely programmable keys, focus/zoom rocker switches and a joystick for motorized X/Y fine adjustment/operation of navigation functions.

  • Motorized X/Y fine adjustment in the entire lateral front-to-back tilt of the microscope with three motorized microscope axes and unrestricted balancing mobility with magnetic brakes in all microscope axes.

  • Completely integrated 3CCD video camera

  • Completely integrated multi-functional data display with shutter function.
