Ph.D received in 2016 from S.V. University, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, INDIA. Thesis entitled “Luminescence properties of Sm3+, Eu3+, Dy3+, Er3+ and Nd3+ ions in fluorophosphate glasses for photonic applications”.
Master of Science (Technology) Engineering Physics, passed with First Division, graduated in 1999 (Course duration: 1996-99) from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati.

Research Experience


  • I have so far gained 8 years of research experience in my doctoral work. While doing my research work at SVU. I have learned and acquired expertise in the characterization and preparation of luminescent materials with certain rare-earth ions as luminescent active ions and probing their structural properties by employing various tools such as FTIR, Raman, Thermal properties from DTA and spectral properties (absorption, excitation, emission and decay measurements) from Absorption & Emission Spectrophotometer.




  • Worked as a Project Fellow in Photonics Lab, Department of Physics, S.V.U. College of Sciences, Tirupati from 2013 to 2016.
