A Permit is not required for temporary fencing erected on Private Property in conjunction with a special event.

 

A Building permit is not required for temporary interior and exterior platforms/stages erected for 30 days or less.



 

An Electrical permit is required for all temporary electrical power distribution systems, (Spider boxes) including temporary lights, outlets and receptacles. Electrical permit must be pulled by a licensed Electrical Contractor.

 

If a generator is to be used and the electrical equipment can be plugged directly into the outlet on the generator, then a permit is NOT required.

Tonya will be shooting souvenir photos in registration on Thursday, September 29 from 8am until 6pm. Souvenir Photos can be purchased with their package for $8 or on-site for the same amount.

 

 

Poker Run - Sunday Epilepsy Foundation

    • Mulligan $3

    • One form per person.

    • If same card is drawn more than once, participant must draw another card.

    • Hoyle’s rules will be followed to determine the winners. Ace is high or low for straight and straight flush only, otherwise it is high. Worst hand = 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 non suited.

    • In case of a tie, the prize will be split among the winners.

    • No replacements for lost Poker Walk forms. All walkers must be in line at final stop by 6:00pm on Thursday. Due to the potential for unforeseen circumstances, Las Vegas BikeFest reserves the right to modify times of the Poker Walk without notice, at its sole discretion.

    • If you miss a stop, you will be disqualified.

    • The winners of Best and Worst Hand will be posted at the Western Building

 

SPECS:


 

    • Find Poker Stops - determined by the sales team

    • If sponsored, add sponsor logo to score card

    • Create map of the poker walks stops; each day should have it’s own map

    • Create score card with rules; each day should have it's own score card

    • Create signs for each stop stating Poker Walk with the BF Logo

    • Order table and chairs for each stop with operations manager

    • Each stop requires a unique stamp

    • Create supplies for each stop to include (2) different color decks of cards that are hold punched, (2) of the same stamp, (5) pens and (2) sharpies

    • Update instructions

    • Update activity sheets

 

 

Poker Run - Friday

    • Registration at the Golden Nugget Grotto Atrium at 7:30 am and the last biker will depart from their location at 9:00 am.

    • Registration is a no-card stop.

    • Riders will follow directions through the five stops drawing a card at each stop, and receiving a stamp on their sheets marking which card they drew.

    • At the final stop, they will be notified if they are in the running to receive a prize.

    • They may also purchase a $5 mulligan at registration to increase their chances, the mulligan will be drawn at the final stop – these proceeds go to Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation.

 

Poker Run – Friday

    • Ultimate Pass and VIP registrants only

    • 7:30am – 3:00pm (last bike departs at 9:00am)

    • Ride approximately 96 miles

    • Stops:

    1. $1,000 for best hand, $250 for worst hand

    2. Encourage those staying on FSE to go to Nugget for check-in and then get their bike

    3. Mulligans may be purchased for $5 at registration

    • ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE IN LINE AT THE FINAL STOP BY 3:30PM TO QUALIFY FOR A PRIZE. Due to the potential for unforeseen circumstances, Las Vegas BikeFest reserves the right to modify finish times of the Poker Run, without notice, at its sole discretion.

    • Rules of Hoyle’s will be followed to determine the winners.

    • Ace is high or low for straight or straight flush only. Otherwise it is always a high card.

    • Lowest or worst possible hand is 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7, not suited.

    • In case of a tie, the prize will be split among the winners.

    • Awards will be announced at the Event Office at Rally at approximately 5:00pm.

 

What to do if a mistake is made?

Wrong card box stamped



    • Draw a line diagonally across the box using the Sharpie pen provided, that matches the stamp color

    • Manager (and only manager) must initial inside the box

    • Stamp the correct box

 

At a later stop, if the box for the card selected has an error stamp in it, just stamp over it. See the sample at Jack of Hearts.

    4. Four of a Kind – if more than one hand with the same four cards, the highest fifth card wins.

    6. Flush – if more than one hand with a Flush, the one with the highest card wins. If the highest cards are identical in value, the next highest decides it – or the next highest, all the way to the fifth card.
