YOUTH ARTS & LITERARY EXHIBTION - THE CONCEPT

Let it be writers, photographers, film-makers, painters, writers; Karachi has a lot of potential artists in its hub who need a platform in order to advance in their respective fields. Their work is either undervalued or violated. Karachi Arts & Literature Fair will give a chance to all such artists to speak up and show case what the people around them often ignore. Through exhibiting various forms of art pieces by youngsters and conducting activities to raise awareness of what copyright violations do to these artists and the society in general, Karachi Arts & Literature Fair will be one of its kind event that the city of lights will ever experience.

MISSION STATEMENT

"To bring together the artistic minds of Karachi and revive the original art culture of the city of lights through art exhibitions, competitions, debates, and panel discussions."

AIMS & GOALS

  • To raise awareness about counterfeiting of local artwork and how it affects our country and the professions we hold

  • To revive Pakistan's culture and passion for the arts

  • Provide means to college and university students to learn more about Karachi, the inspiring stories that this land holds, and the issues that it faces through art.

  • Exhibit the individual talents through cultural performances, heated debates, panel discussion, and other co-curricular activities

THE TARGET AUDIENCE

Arts is not bound by age, gender, geographical boundaries, demographics, or psychological differences - neither is the Karachi Arts & Literature Fair. The event is open to anyone who gets attracted to it; we are aiming for 2000+ attendees in total during the day at the festival. The audience will include a lot of college and university students, professionals from several organizations and companies, media icons, celebrity artists, and the average man of Karachi.

The opening ceremony will include:

  • Cultural theatre performance by IBA students

  • a stage play on how stealing art pieces affect the life of an artist by IBA students

  • opening video
